About the Role
  • Mental Health Clinical Specialist – A Permanent Full-time position that embodies the essence of a senior leader in our Mental Health Service.
  • This key role drives clinical excellence, innovation, and positive patient outcomes while modelling best practices within our esteemed hospital's Mental Health division.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health/Leadership would be highly advantageous.

This strategic position provides support to Nursing Management, fostering exceptional clinical services, driving innovation, and championing practice improvement. As a seasoned Clinician, you will contribute to advancing clinical competence within Mental Health nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Evidence-Based Practice and Contemporary Nursing Standards
  • Role model high standards of clinical practice, supervising, guiding, and coaching Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Graduates, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and Deliver Training, Provide Guidance to Peers, Patients, and Families
  • Foster a Trauma-Informed Care approach, operating within a Recovery Model of Care framework
  • Demonstrate Business Acumen to Drive Service Growth and Promotion
  • Nurture Professional Relationships with Multidisciplinary Teams and Stakeholders
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment
  • Effective Communication and Documentation
  • Patient Allocation Role – Primarily Day Shift, Monday to Friday Business Hours

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse
