Job Description:

As a Project Delivery Lead at Cognizant, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex projects, ensuring timely completion, and meeting or exceeding client expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects that align with business objectives. Your expertise in project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, will be essential in guiding project teams towards successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Analyze project data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize project performance.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs, developing solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure smooth project execution, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reporting progress to stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and development within the organization, contributing to strategic planning and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software, including MS Project, Asana, and Jira.
  • Experience working in a matrix organizational structure, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
