Senior Director of Culinary Operations

About Qantas: As a pioneer in the airline industry, founded in 1920, our main business is transporting customers and freight using two complementary brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic, and international services.

You will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end dining and hospitality across lounges, inflight cabins, and key service touchpoints. You will drive culinary innovation and manage supplier and chef partnerships to deliver premium, brand-aligned dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the culinary vision and lead menu innovation to elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage a cross-functional team and collaborate with key partners to drive value through strategic product and experience design.
  • Oversee menu development to ensure product selections meet quality and cost expectations while balancing creativity with commercial outcomes using data and customer insights.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years' experience in food and beverage strategy, hospitality, airline catering, luxury service, or related industries with at least 5 years in an airline environment.
  • Proven expertise in strategic product and experience design with a focus on premium culinary and F&B offerings.
  • Proven experience in delivering step-change in customer experience and leading change in complex environments at scale.
  • Passion for customer-led innovation and elevating service experiences through insight and trend forecasting.
