About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Team Lead to join our team at Stantec Australia. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, driving growth and revenue for Stantec Australia.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold a Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the consulting or engineering industry, with a strong understanding of the local Adelaide buildings business.
  • Be well-connected and networked within the industry, with a proven track record of fostering client relationships.
  • Have significant experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design on building projects.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in the Defence sector.
  • Ability to make quality business decisions, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
