About the Role

The City of Charles Sturt is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to fill the position of General Manager City Futures. This is a key executive role that will lead the strategic direction, planning, decision making, and overall performance of the City Futures Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth and development of the City's infrastructure and services.
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes in areas such as city planning, infrastructure development, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the City's overall strategic plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the community, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and delivery of key projects.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as business, management, community development, planning, engineering, or marketing.
  • Significant experience in a senior management position in a large, complex, and diverse organization.
  • Experience in managing change and implementing new and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or similar postgraduate qualification is desirable.
