Job Opportunity

The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the financial accounting function. This includes coordinating and leading various projects to ensure effective and efficient financial management.

  • Oversee period end/month end close tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting, including unearned income and accruals schedules for concessions, retail and projects.
  • Manage labour and employee entitlements accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and account for doubtful/bad debts in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage CAPEX and project accounting to optimize returns.
  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to improve profitability.
  • Supervise the accounts receivable process, ensuring credit management is carried out effectively.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Management teams to ensure customer obligations are met within agreed timeframes.
  • Provide financial information and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, including preparation and lodgement of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) returns.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to: Process improvement initiatives.

A successful candidate should have relevant qualifications in accounting, such as CPA or CA certification. Proven experience in the financial services industry or related field. Experience in a similar role. Strong communication and business partnering skills. Strong technical skills in accounting and finance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
