Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in financial accounting, with expertise in Excel and MS Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and complete month-end reporting, journal entries, and maintenance of accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, manage tasks such as commission calculations, JV reporting, fixed assets, intangible assets, sundry invoicing, and banking administration.
  • Support ongoing forecasts, variance analysis, and collaborate with Commercial Finance to deliver annual budgets, with a focus on centralised expenses.
  • Prepare data for external audits and statutory reporting, and manage tax and compliance obligations including FBT, GST, income tax, WHT, and payroll tax.
  • Drive enhancements in accounting policies, internal controls, and business processes, while maintaining organised support and process documentation.
  • Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, respond to finance queries, contribute to ad hoc projects, and act as a backup during team absences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in financial accounting / environment
  • Intermediate Excel, MS Office and ERP system skills (SAP experience highly desirable, but not essential)
  • Significant experience in financial accounting and preparation / review of general ledger accounts and trial balance
  • Demonstrated experience utilising fundamental business accounting skills relation to income tax, FBT and GST
  • Ability to add value and assist in the development of enhanced processes
  • High levels of accountability, attention to detail, and resourcefulness
