The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your key focus will be around the following:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & close schedules
- Provide accurate & timely monthly analysis/commentaries of results
- Prepare & review statutory financial reports
- Assist with the coordination of year-end external audit processes
- Accounting for profit and loss & balance sheet accounts including preparation of monthly journals/general ledger reconciliations
- Manage equity accounting for associates & joint ventures
- Preparation of quarterly & annual asset impairment review
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the wider business and prepare technical accounting position papers for external audit purposes
- Coach junior team members
- Project work as required
Our client is looking to attract an ambitious candidate who is considering their first move out of a Big 4/Mid-Tier firm or someone who has had experience working within a large complex FMCG or retail environment. You will have excellent analytical capabilities and be a confident communicator who can engage with and influence non-financial stakeholders. Additionally, you will possess an enthusiastic & ambitious attitude that allows you to work collaboratively within a high-performing finance team.
