Catholic Education is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our People & Culture department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of salaries and wages to our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Employment Contracts
- Resolve complex payroll queries and provide exceptional customer service
- Prepare and balance payroll tax, PAYG tax, and FBT, superannuation, and annual group certificates
- Maintain accurate system records for leave, casual timesheets, and employee records
- Provide management reports and undertake statutory reporting as required
- Partner with the Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver value-added outcomes across the team
- Assist Payroll Officers and conduct training of junior Payroll staff as needed
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Significant experience working in Payroll with a strong focus on compliance
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply multiple Enterprise Agreements/Awards throughout our Payroll processes
- Experience with Success Factors would be highly desirable but not essential
- Ability to understand our data and apply best practice solutions to mitigate risk
- Experience supporting the training and development of Payroll teams
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and a desire to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A natural aptitude for collaboration and teamwork
- Skilled in quickly building rapport, communicating, and engaging with stakeholders
