About the Role

The Australian Research Centre (ARC) Research Hub for Steel Innovation supports Australia's steel industry transition to a more sustainable and resilient position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct numerical modelling research to understand major aspects of material operations in an Electric Smelting Furnace.
  • Plan, collect and analyse data, develop models and frameworks, supervise, write reports and communicate results to industry through peer-reviewed journal articles.
Requirements
  • A track record in effective report writing and communications to industry and through peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • Candidates will collaborate with Project Leaders and Partner Investigators from BlueScope's Port Kembla Steelworks.
Support and Development

The appointee will receive additional mentoring, training and personal development opportunities.
