Electrical Fitters play a vital role in maintaining the electrical systems of our defence force. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team.

Job Description

As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, testing, and repair of field power generators, field power generation plant, and equipment. You will also maintain, repair, and service air conditioning systems, mobile refrigeration units, and other electrical systems. Your work will involve using computer-controlled diagnostic and management systems, referring to circuit diagrams, and utilizing meters and test instruments to identify electrical faults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, service, test, and repair field power generators and field power generation plant and equipment
  • Maintain, repair, and service air conditioning systems
  • Maintain, service, test, and repair mobile refrigeration units
  • Work with computer-controlled diagnostic and management systems
  • Refer to circuit diagrams and use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to have 240volt electrical qualifications (Trade Cert - Electrician) and relevant electrical licenses/tickets. A current Open Australian driver's license is also required. Additionally, you must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
