Job Title: Train Operations Manager

About the Role

The primary objective of the Train Driver position is to operate locomotives safely and efficiently, adhering to regulations, rules and procedures.

  • Fulfill train operations requirements in a timely, safe and punctual manner
  • Participate in training, briefings, and toolbox talks related to safe train operations
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization
  • Comply with and promote the Safety Management System
  • Mentor trainee train drivers and promote strategies for safety and fuel conservation
  • Conduct inspections as per procedures
  • Raise the organization's profile within the industry
About You
  • Traits required for this role include a Certificate IV in Train Driving or equivalent qualification
  • Candidates must have clear communication skills, both written and oral
  • Awareness of safe working requirements on all routes and terminals is necessary
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in a demanding environment is key
