About the Role

The role will serve as a stepping stone for further career advancement in the waste management industry. With experience and additional training, you could pursue opportunities in waste management supervision, recycling programs, or environmental management.

Key responsibilities include operating various machinery including water trucks, hook lift trucks, tipper trucks, and waste collection vehicles at the City landfill and Recycling Facility, safely disposing and recycling waste materials, participating in waste management initiatives to reduce pollution and protect the environment, and ensuring appropriate disposal and recycling.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in landfill and recycling facility operations or similar, ability to safely operate and maintain heavy machinery, good communication skills for explaining waste management procedures, possession of a Current HR Class Drivers Licence, and possession of a Construction Induction Card.
