Therapy Support Professional

This is a part-time opportunity working 21 hours a week, delivering long-term trauma-informed therapy and facilitating therapeutic group programs for children, young people, and parents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individual therapy sessions to children and young people impacted by parental separation and divorce.
- Facilitating therapeutic group programs for children, young people, and parents, promoting positive relationships and reducing chronic stress and trauma symptoms.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team through regular case discussions, team meetings, and professional development.
- Client-facing work per day, with time dedicated to supervision, documentation, and training.
About the role:
- Requires tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or related field.
- Experience working therapeutically with children, young people (0-18), and/or parents, preferably in a child protection context.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and ability to adapt to diverse client needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and trauma-informed care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
