We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Fellow to join our team. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be working on a project investigating novel treatments for neurodegenerative diseases such as motor neuron disease.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art research facility with a well-integrated team of researchers. You will have the opportunity to conduct research projects, plan and conduct experiments, prepare and analyze data, write manuscripts, and deliver presentations at conferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research projects including planning and conducting experiments, preparation and analysis of research data, writing manuscripts, and delivering presentations at conferences.">
  • Liaise effectively with different stakeholder groups.">
  • Project management skills including prioritizing different work demands.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A PhD in medical science or related disciplines.">
  • Strong background in neuroscience mechanisms such as mitochondrial function and metabolism.">
  • Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques including DNA cloning, gene editing technology, PCR, gel electrophoresis, in vitro mRNA production, and performing western blots.">
  • Experience in using zebrafish models, cell culture models, microscopy (including confocal), and general fish husbandry.">
