About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aboriginal Dental Assistant to join our team as a Clinic Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position based at the Awabakal Dental Clinic in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and direction to Dental Assistants and Administration Officers to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the clinic.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Awabakal Medical team to ensure collaborative care for the community.
  • Establish a culturally appropriate rapport with community members and patients to ensure trust and access to health services.
  • Supervise and support the Clinic team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
