We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader to join our Nexus Program team at La Trobe University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teacher education and a proven track record of innovation and leadership in this field.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement innovative curriculum to support educators in regional, rural, and low SES schools.
- Conduct and publish high-quality, high-impact research in teacher education.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, industry partners, and community organizations to enhance teaching and research initiatives.
- Design and implement projects to influence the development of the Nexus pathway into teaching and course development.
- Manage projects and work with the Nexus team to develop research projects and high-impact research outputs.
- PhD or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline area.
- Current understanding of theories, trends, and education reform that address preparing teachers for regional, rural, and urban low SES schools.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in research and implement curriculum and professional programs in the areas of teacher education.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement evidence-based approaches to inform teaching, learning, and curriculum development in face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes.
- High level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with community, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a collaborative and collegial manner.
