**Disability Support Professional Role**
This challenging yet rewarding position involves providing individualized support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on enhancing their independence and overall well-being.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and possess excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized support plans in consultation with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, while promoting client autonomy and dignity.
- Support clients in engaging with community-based activities, social events, and recreational pursuits, fostering social connections and a sense of belonging.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate skill development, promote client self-advocacy, and enhance quality of life.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments or outings as required, adhering to relevant safety protocols and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, and Mental Health, or related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check).
- Valid Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Full working rights in Australia.
