Role Overview:
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Liverpool Hospital. This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services to patients, families, and carers, ensuring optimal health outcomes in line with SWSLHD policies and NSW Health standards.
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, offer counselling, psychoeducation, and advocacy in hospital and community settings.
- Manage a diverse caseload, exercise sound professional judgement in complex situations, and work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Social Work from an Australian university, eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated experience in providing a range of Social Work interventions, with a strong understanding of health-related issues.
- Ability to prioritise work, manage stressful situations, and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer applications.
