Improve Financial Decision Making with a Strategic Financial Accountant

The role of a Senior Financial Accountant is pivotal in managing the full spectrum of financial accounting activities. This includes ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS, as well as supporting strategic decision-making through accurate and timely financial reporting.

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established standards.

  2. Consolidate financial data for reporting to stakeholders.

  3. Oversee the general ledger, fixed assets register, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

  4. Monitor and forecast daily cash flow to ensure effective financial management.

  5. Collaborate with external advisors to support tax compliance and facilitate seamless communication.

  6. Support payroll, tax compliance, and liaise with external advisors to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

  7. Implement, maintain, and test internal controls aligned with regulatory requirements.

  8. Lead the annual external audit process, working closely with auditors and internal stakeholders.

  9. Ensure effective bilingual communication with stakeholders in Australia and Japan.

  10. Continuously analyse, document, and improve financial processes and systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
