About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team at Techtronic Industries, a leading global company in the consumer and floorcare industry. As a Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Compliance engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Develop and implement solid compliance processes, ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, test labs, and certifiers, to ensure compliance with international and domestic regulations.
  • Provide technical support in incident investigations, withdrawals, and recalls, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to protect the company's interests.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Technical background, with Electrical or Mechanical qualification and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge and passion for power tools, garden tools, and home appliances.
  • Previous experience with product compliance, regulation/legislation, and product safety from a supplier perspective.
  • Solid understanding of Australian consumer law and regulatory requirements.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools required for analysis and assembly.
  • Process-driven with the ability to develop, implement, and drive product engineering processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and perform as a team player.
  • Solid time management and attention to detail.
