Operations Supervisor Job Opportunity

An exciting career path has become available for an Operations Supervisor based in Canberra. This position involves working as part of a collaborative Operations team, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production and dispatch teams
  • Ensure all customer orders are scheduled, loaded and delivered on time and in full
  • Oversee the allocation of yard staff, drivers and trucks to meet customer demands
  • Supervise Goods Inwards and semi-loading
  • Locate finished goods and load them onto delivery vehicles
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Conduct toolbox and team meetings
  • Train in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
  • Collaborate with team members, other business areas and projects as required
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contribute to a safe working environment

About You:

  • Experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally within building or manufacturing industries
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • A passion to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines based on production and customer demands
  • Be process and system driven
  • Relentless approach to ensuring the customers' needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Ability and willingness to operate all machinery
  • Computer literate
  • Forklift license required
  • Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
  • Whilst experience is great, it'll be your passion, reliable attitude and personality that set you apart
