Inventory Control Specialist

The role of Inventory Control Specialist is pivotal in ensuring seamless inventory management across multiple sites. This position entails overseeing the entire inventory process, from procurement to stock replenishment and disposal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily and weekly site replenishment processes by analyzing reorder reports and coordinating with the purchasing team for timely procurements.
  • Standardize catalogue descriptions, master data, and inventory classification to optimize data consistency and accuracy.
  • Upload and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory details on the ERP system.
  • Identify and address material duplication across multiple mine sites by standardizing similar items.
  • Generate and provide regular inventory status reports based on valuation, classification, usage, stockouts, and waste management.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within the resources sector, preferably with specific expertise in inventory management.
  • 5 years' experience working with inventory management systems and practices.
  • A valid C-Class Driver's License is required for travel between sites.
  • A Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is highly regarded.
  • Mine site operational knowledge is also advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pronto and SAP software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Pivot Tables for data analysis and reporting.
  • Power BI or business analytics skills are beneficial for data-driven decision-making.
