Facilities Manager

John Paul College is seeking an experienced Grounds Officer to join our Property Services team on a permanent full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the College's gardens and grounds, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance of the College gardens and grounds, including mowing, weeding, fertilizing, and day-time cleaning and rubbish removal.
- Maintaining planted and garden areas within the College environment, including hedging, pruning, removal, and disposal of unwanted growth.
- Supporting in landscaping projects as required.
- Opening and securing of gates and premises across campus.
- Supporting students, staff, visitors, and contractors as required during events, including responding to general enquiries.
- Operation of equipment, including checking and maintaining equipment prior to and after use, reporting any known concerns.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements, including safe work practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Positive Paid Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain this by your start date).
- Drivers License (Open License).
- Current First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain).
