We are seeking an experienced and skilled Racecourse Grounds Maintenance Professional to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining the quality of our racecourses and ensuring they meet the high standards expected by our patrons.
As a Racecourse Grounds Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance work, including laboring, cleaning, track, garden, and maintenance instructions.
You will also be required to operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front-end loader, forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers, and general spray operations.
In addition, you will conduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial, and other surfaces.
You may also work on occasion at other Club sites.
Requirements- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management;
- General operational and mechanical maintenance skills;
- Appropriate licenses to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, front-end loader, and forklifts (as applicable);
- Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader, and Excavator would be desirable;
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals;
- A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
The working hours for this role are 8:15am – 4:45pm.
