Private Credit Leader

The Private Credit team at KPMG plays a vital role in supporting clients with their global connectivity. This asset class offers numerous opportunities for private credit providers and borrowers alike.

Members of the team provide support across various strategies, including direct lending, asset-backed lending, distressed, and special situations.

From fund formation to investment, asset management, and value creation, our teams advise clients throughout the entire cycle.

In this position, you will collaborate with the Partner and Head of Private Credit for KPMG ASPAC, working closely with the wider ASPAC and global private credit team to support clients and expand the firm's profile in private credit.

This is a newly established role in a growing sector, and you will play a key part in the team by:

• Working with key members in the ASPAC region to grow the private credit offering.
• Attending meetings with, and following up with, private credit clients.
• Managing team members regarding research materials (including tear sheets), proposals, and credential documents.
• Assisting leaders with the development of private credit thought leadership and presentations.
• Building trusted partnerships with peers and clients to meet their specific market needs.

This role sits within the Turnaround and Restructuring group, which covers M&A, Corporate Finance, Debt Advisory, Transaction Services, Value Creation, Valuations, and Infrastructure.

• Experience in turnaround and restructuring, M&A, corporate finance, debt advisory, private credit, transaction services, consulting, private credit or investment banking firms.
• A background across turnaround and restructuring, financial due diligence, credit analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Proven problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and resilience.
• Experiences in the evaluations and execution of private credit investment flow.
• Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role and ideally a post-graduate qualification (e.g., CA, CFA, CPA, TMA, or ARITA certification).
