General Practitioner Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled General Practitioner to join our medical team in Cooktown, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our practice.

Job Description:

The General Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Providing primary healthcare services to patients of all ages
  • Conducting routine check-ups, health screenings, and examinations
  • Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests as necessary
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to meet individual patient needs
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner
  • FRACGP fellowship with RACGP
  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and situations
