Software Engineer - Broadcast Operations

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development of complex broadcast operations. As a key member of our team, you will work with APIs for broadcast hardware and software, designing and implementing tools and workflows that simplify these operations.

This role is ideal for a software engineer with media experience or a broadcast engineer with a focus on modern software development. You should understand the challenges of large-scale live events and have the ability to collaborate with commissioning, support teams, product managers, and users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop secure, production-ready software for critical services using Golang, React, and PHP.
  • Create tests for new and existing code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve existing code.
  • Review pull requests and pair programming when appropriate.
  • Design and implement new features.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize code for bugs and performance issues.
  • Identify and report quality or security issues.
  • Provide documentation for users and commissioning teams.
  • Contribute feedback and collaborate with team members.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure product quality.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Several years of software development experience.
  • Ability to quickly learn new codebases and frameworks.
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages.
  • Experience with database design and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Deep understanding of the software development process and related technologies.
