Guidance Counsellor Role

 

A Guidance Counsellor is sought to form part of the guidance and counselling team at our college. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the school community to foster the learning and wellbeing of all students through the provision of a proactive, quality guidance and counselling service.

 

About the Role

The Guidance Counsellor will be responsible for facilitating proactive and preventative practices and initiatives for the holistic development, mental health and wellbeing of students. This will include managing counselling and consulting services for students, providing psycho-educational and other assessments, ensuring protocols and quality processes are implemented, and maintaining standards of practice.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have full registration as a Teacher with QCT plus completed Masters in school guidance and counselling; or full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA. You will also have successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting with a focus on prevention, intervention and student learning, as well as experience in identifying and developing activities to address academic and life career development of students.

About Our College

Our college is a co-educational secondary college located on the scenic Redlands Coast. We provide education for over 1200 students from Years 7 to 12 and aim to provide quality teaching and learning outcomes for Prep to Year 12 students.
