About the Role

This is a critical position in our health centres where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals to provide a holistic approach to defence members.

  • Conduct intake assessments and risk evaluations
  • Provide crisis intervention support
  • Develop case formulation and treatment plans
  • Promote programme-based treatment interventions
  • Cordinate care plans
  • Assist with medication management processes
  • Facilitate group psycho-education sessions

Mental Health Registered Nurses must possess credentials from the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), hold a minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, or be a Mental Health trained nurse/United Kingdom trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse.

They must also have a minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) post-registration experience within the previous 5 years in mental health in a primary health setting or specialist mental health setting.

Australia citizenry is required for Baseline Security Clearance for this role.

The job offers stability, even when Defence personnel are deployed.
