We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced commercial lawyer to join our team at BOQ Group. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in providing legal services and support to multiple business units across our group, including Group Technology, Procurement, and Corporate Development.
Your primary focus will be on technology and commercial contracting, where you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex agreements, including master services agreements, software licenses, and white label arrangements. You will also have the opportunity to provide strategic input and legal solutions on other business matters, such as group transformation projects, outsourcing arrangements, and M&A transactions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will also need to have a deep understanding of technology law, operational risk management regulations, and data protection.
About YouWe are looking for someone with a strong track record of providing commercial legal advice to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will need to have a relationship-oriented mindset, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tight timeframes effectively.
You will be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia, with a minimum of 6-8 years of post-qualification experience. Private practice or in-house experience in technology contracting, outsourcing, and commercial vendor contract reviews and negotiations will be highly regarded.
