Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing high-quality financial reporting to both local and global business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the reconciliation and analysis of data in financial systems to ensure financial records are accurate as per procedure guidelines
  • Accurate and timely compliance reporting, including BAS, FBT, Levies and Annual Accounting
  • Assist in the preparation of Special Purpose and General Purpose financial statements in accordance with Corporations Law and relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) for external auditors' sign-offs
  • Preparation of work papers supporting financial disclosures
  • Ensuring Group Reporting is published by due dates
  • Assist in the preparation and compilation of the annual budget, annual reforecast, and 5-year business plan for the organization

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 5-10 years' experience working in a finance team, preferably within the commodities/agribusiness sector
  • Deep knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Australian tax legislation
  • Understanding of accounting principles for processing and warehousing assets, derivative products (futures, forwards, and options)
  • Understanding of treasury/funding functions
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • JDE experience is preferable
