Unique Opportunity in Drone Operations
Join our team of remote pilots to take advantage of a 2-year fixed term full-time opportunity in Sydney. You will be working with our drone operations team, assisting the Chief Pilot Manager Field Tech Innovation.
The primary purpose of the role is to operate various RPAs (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) and payloads to conduct incident response and event management operations.
This role involves operating RPA's to provide situational awareness to our command centre. Additionally, you will be conducting safe and efficient operation of RPAs to acquire high-quality data in asset inspections, surveying, photogrammetry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incident and event RPA operations to provide situational awareness to our command centre.
- Conduct safe and efficient operation of the RPAs to acquire high-quality data in asset inspections, surveying, photogrammetry.
- Assist in the implementation of new technology and operations.
- Perform routine maintenance of company OEM aircrafts.
- Perform pre-flight planning to include mission briefings weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) and other relevant requirements.
- Complete post-mission reports/logs.
- Assist in the development and operations of EVLOS (Extended Visual line of Sight) and BVLOS (Beyond visual line of sight) operations.
Requirements:
- Strong written and oral communication skill.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and in teams while maintaining rigorous attention to detail required in an operations environment.
- Demonstrated performance of compliance with aviation regulations (as relate to RPAS).
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated commercial RPA experience in a variety of systems and environments.
- Hold a sub 25kg Remote Pilot License (RePL).
- Hold an Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate (AROC).
- Fixed Wing license will be desirable.
- IREX (Instrument Rating Examination) Certification will be desirable.
- Experience with LiDAR, 3D modelling, Photogrammetry, Asset Inspections -BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) and EVLOS (Extended Line of Sight) will be desirable.
- A current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to travel regularly and work outside normal working hours.
