This role combines hands-on trade expertise with the coordination of infrastructure works, asset servicing, and event support across a range of environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and repairs on plant, machinery, buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Perform mechanical, carpentry, and fabrication tasks as required.
- Coordinate and carry out property upgrades, minor construction, and infrastructure works.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across motors, machinery, tools, and small plant.
- Support events and operational logistics, including setup and technical requirements.
- Support the upkeep of island-based infrastructure including plant, utilities, accommodation, and boats.
- Monitor asset condition and recommend improvements or replacements.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers for specialized works.
- Report and maintain maintenance records, repairs, servicing, and compliance checks for asset repairs or improvements, including stock levels for supplies and parts.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
This role will also involve responding to after-hours breakdowns and occasional weekend work, as required to support critical operations and events.
About You:- Proven hands-on experience in general maintenance, property, plant, mechanical repairs, and fabrication.
- Trade qualification in mechanical, fabrication, mechanical, carpentry, or similar (highly regarded).
- Able to work autonomously and prioritize tasks through to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan and organize work.
- Comfortable working across varied environments.
- Strong awareness of safety protocols and a team-focused mindset.
- Forklift ticket, EWP, or similar tickets (desirable).
- Boat license (desirable).
This is a key role that requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, practical skills, and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will be able to think critically, work independently, and contribute to the success of our operations team.
