About the Position: We are seeking a seasoned and safety-focused Electrical Operations Manager to lead a team of 8 technicians, overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our solar infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, guiding and mentoring a team of Electrical Technicians to deliver exceptional results
  • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance on solar farm infrastructure and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and repair services for electrical systems and components, leveraging in-depth knowledge and technical expertise
  • Develop and supervise safe operational procedures, including high voltage switching, to protect personnel and assets
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and contractors to drive compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Oversee after-hours on-call support as part of a rotating roster, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of work orders, maintenance activities, and documentation
  • Optimize workshop organization, tooling, and equipment readiness to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for tools, spare parts, and consumables to prevent stockouts and waste

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience within electrical maintenance, power generation, or renewable energy
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices, with a proactive and safety-first approach
  • Effective communicator with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team
  • Experience with maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo, Enablon) is an asset
  • HV Electrical Switching certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and instrumentation systems
