Job Title: Pet Behaviour Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and skilled dog trainer to join our team.
The role involves:
- Training and handling dogs of all temperaments and breeds, including those with challenging behaviours.
- Leading mantrailing exercises for search, rescue, or recreational purposes.
- Collaborating within a team environment to deliver exceptional training programs.
- Interacting with children and families in a safe and engaging manner.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with dogs, including those with difficult behaviour.
- Proficiency in mantrailing techniques and related skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and families.
- A genuine passion for dogs and their well-being.
Preferred Qualifications
A valid police check and current first aid certification would be advantageous.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective training programs for clients.
- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues on matters related to dog behaviour and training.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through excellent communication and customer service skills.
