Job Title: Mechanical CoordinatorAbout the Role

The primary responsibility of a Mechanical Coordinator is to oversee and manage mechanical operations, ensuring that they are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This involves coordinating with supervisors and tradespeople to deliver work safely and on schedule.

This role requires extensive experience in underground coal mining, particularly in cut and flit mining and/or gateroad development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning, managing, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

A strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills is required to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders. A Certificate IV Underground Coal Mining qualification or willingness to undertake this study is also desirable.

About You
  • Liaising with external representatives to achieve safety and production targets
  • Providing direction to Mastermyne employees and subcontractors
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on Development works and/or UG Coal Cut & Flit;
  • S123/G2 Supervisory Certificates mandatory
  • Certificate IV Underground Coal Mining desirable or a willingness to commit to this study
  • Successfully planned, managed and delivered projects on schedule and on budget
  • Exceptional communication of planned work to crew/s
  • Strong visible safety interactions and leadership, particularly underground
  • An advocate for continuous improvement and setting high standards of work
  • Sound computer skills
  • Strong people leadership, including feedback and coaching of team
