We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our Electrical Engineering team in delivering high-voltage transmission line projects from concept to commissioning. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including design, documentation, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead and deliver high-voltage transmission line projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Design Management: Oversee the design process, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and direction on projects, ensuring high-quality engineering and commercial outputs.
- Client Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide team members in electrical engineering and technical knowledge-sharing.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, estimating and preparing project tenders and proposals.
- Collaboration: Network with other GHD offices to work collaboratively on transmission line projects.
- Extensive Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant professional industry experience in high-voltage transmission line design and project delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Expert user of PLS-CADD suite, including POLE, TOWER, etc., with extensive modeling experience up to 500 kV.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Certifications: CPEng or actively working towards obtainment.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and determining priorities.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-discipline engineering projects and prepare and present tenders/proposals to potential clients.
