Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Web Developer to support our research activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive data analysis for high-impact research publications, including contributions to international reports such as the Lancet Countdown.
  • Lead web application development and enhancement for research tools, including HeatWatch, Sports and Medicine Australia Extreme Heat Tool, and CBE thermal comfort tool.
  • Maintain and develop digital tools like pythermalcomfort and create new versions of thermal comfort and heat/cold stress indices calculation tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports, technical documentation, and scientific publications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of research-focused applications and statistical analysis tools.
  • Proven experience with coding, data visualization, and database management.
  • Experience working in a research-intensive environment or similar analytical setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in thermal comfort, building science, computer science, public health, or related fields.
  • Experience with web frameworks (Python) and data visualization libraries.
  • Familiarity with scientific research methodologies.
  • Understanding of heat stress indices and thermal comfort models.
  • Experience with collaborative research projects and interdisciplinary teams.
