This is a research position based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Job Description:

The UNSW Discipline of General Practice leads the delivery of educational and research activities aimed at improving the care of people in primary and community healthcare settings.

We are looking for a senior researcher to manage the 'MyMedicare for older adults living in residential aged care homes: mixed-methods evaluation' project and supervise junior researchers in conjunction with the investigators.

  • Lead the project operations team, including the investigators, research officers based at UNSW and collaborating institutions.
  • Manage the ethics and governance applications and processes.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, apply for access to datasets, participant recruitment and involvement in other data collection and analysis activities.

A Research Fellow (Level B) is expected to carry out independent and/or team research within the field in which they are appointed and to develop their research expertise relevant to their particular field of research.

A Senior Research Fellow (Level C) is expected to make independent or original contributions to the research effort within their field of research expertise and to the organisational unit or inter-disciplinary area of which they are part.

The role reports to the Associate Professor and has no direct reports.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related discipline, or equivalent experience, and a proven track record of high-quality research outcomes.

They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
