Job Summary

The APS is seeking a skilled Configuration Controller to join our team. As a Configuration Controller, you will be accountable for achieving technical and non-technical configuration work within an integrated workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide data administrative support and configuration knowledge to support non-technical and technical engineering activities.
  • Organise your workflow, making decisions within defined parameters relating to your area of responsibility and seeking guidance when required.
  • Provide specialist or data administrative support that is informed and directed by your knowledge of the configuration management sub-function.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with appropriate technical delegations commensurate with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
  • Contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

About Our Team

The Hunter Class Frigate project is one of the most advanced warships in the world, with cutting-edge technology and capabilities. As Australia's largest shipbuilding project, it provides the foundation for Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in Australia.

We are working with experts from the UK, USA, Canada and Europe to provide six frigates optimised for anti-submarine warfare to the Royal Australian Navy. The frigates are being constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia, utilising the latest production technologies.
