About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to join our team as an EL 1 Configuration Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, planning, and delivering critical and complex technical activities in the field of configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and plan technical activities to ensure successful delivery of configuration management projects.
  • Provide advice and guidance to technical peers on configuration management best practices.
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans and processes to enhance project and program management outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safety aspects of Defence capability are considered and incorporated into technical configuration activities.
  • Evaluate technical activities to understand critical factors for success and engage in continuous improvement and innovation.

About Our Team

Our team is responsible for the acquisition and sustainment of maritime electronic warfare systems and specialist signals intelligence capabilities. We deliver these capabilities to both the ADF and United States Navy. This role will form part of the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare (MMEW) Project, which is critical in developing Australian sovereign technology and transforming it into capability.

Location

This role is based in Russell, ACT, and will form part of an integrated team, including APS, ADF, and Contracted staff, to deliver and sustain capabilities in accordance with operational and compliance requirements, budget, and service agreements.
