OT Role in Community Age Care

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services to our customers in the Hervey Bay region. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to making people's lives better.

The OT will work closely with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care. They will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and assist with equipment prescription and home modifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a wide variety of customer presentations across aged care funding areas
  • Supporting customers in achieving their goals related to daily living, mobility, and community participation
  • Conducting assessments and developing therapy plans
  • Assisting with equipment prescription and home modifications

The role is available as a permanent full-time or part-time position (Monday to Friday) with flexibility around hours. We invite applicants to outline their preference in their cover letter.

Our team enjoys meeting customers in their homes to provide OT services, and we also offer autonomy to complete administrative tasks either at home or at the office.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
  • Significant practical experience or extensive knowledge in providing OT Services, preferably in a Rehabilitation and/or Aged Care setting
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
