We are seeking experienced Ecologists to join our team at Immerge, a specialist recruitment firm connecting top talent with leading companies in the engineering sector.

About the Role

As a Principal or Lead Ecologist, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, managing projects, and nurturing professional relationships with clients. You will also take on leadership and mentoring roles within the field of ecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork and manage projects across NSW, VIC, and QLD
  • Nurture professional relationships with clients
  • Take on leadership and mentoring roles within the field of ecology
  • Oversee ecological projects from scoping to delivery
  • Prepare research materials, conduct analysis, and craft technical reports
Requirements
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Botany, Zoology, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience in project management, field-based surveys, data analysis, and reporting
  • Willingness to engage with a team dedicated to delivering Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessments
  • Highly desirable skills in vegetation community identification and botanical expertise
