About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Team Lead in our Darwin office. As a key member of our Environment group, you will be responsible for leading a team of experts in Remediation, EIA, Air Quality, GIS, Ecology, Sustainability, and Stakeholder Engagement.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for building and nurturing long-term relationships with new and existing clients, preparing and reviewing reports, proposals, tender documents, and correspondence, providing coaching and mentoring to support staff development and manage performance, and offering technical expertise and leading business development efforts for project excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of experts in Remediation, EIA, Air Quality, GIS, Ecology, Sustainability, and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Prepare and review reports, proposals, tender documents, and correspondence
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to support staff development and manage performance
  • Offer technical expertise and lead business development efforts for project excellence
Requirements
  • Experience in generalist roles, broader Impact Assessment exposure is highly valued
  • An interest in leading a team, with the ability to inspire and drive a collaborative team culture
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary projects, achieving goals, and ensuring profitability
  • Experience across diverse market sectors, providing consulting services, and addressing environmental challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for developing and nurturing relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and industry contacts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by appropriate tertiary qualifications
