Description:

The Chemical Instrument Specialist will oversee laboratory operations, supervising staff and prioritizing workload to ensure timely delivery of results. Key responsibilities include maintaining instrumentation, reporting results in compliance with quality work instructions, and ensuring adherence to laboratory standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory, preferably with experience operating GC/FID, GCMS, or LCMSMS.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent (chemistry disciplines advantageous).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of organic sample preparation techniques.
  • Prior experience handling environmental samples and PFAS analysis is desirable.
