Maintenance Fitter Job Description

As a Maintenance Fitter, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities. Your expertise in equipment and infrastructure maintenance is vital to our success.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an Asset & Maintenance environment, specializing in maintenance fitting fields related to plant, equipment, and buildings in a production setting. You should be able to prioritize all manner of works, projects, timeframes, stock control levels, and obtain quotes while making responsible and accurate recommendations.

  • Prioritization and Planning: You will need to effectively prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
  • Maintenance and Repair: As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant, equipment, and buildings, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Liaising with Contractors and Stakeholders: You will need to build strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Effective Communication and Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role, as you will need to interact with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving and Implementation of Solutions: You will need to identify problems, analyze situations, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues and improve processes.
