Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

A permanent position has become available at our site in QLD for a skilled Maintenance Specialist to work as part of a small team to ensure that our production facilities continue to operate safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out both preventative and breakdown maintenance of the manufacturing plant and plant equipment.
  • Undertaking improvements and modifications when required.
  • Be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of pump sets, and other associated equipment.
  • Perform some MIG, TIG and Electric Arc Welding as required.
  • Work within a permit to work system and in compliance with site safety regulations.
  • Be responsible for the safe and legal operation of equipment and the wearing of safety PPE supplied.
  • Accept personal responsibility to ensure all company policies are adhered too including contribution to a safe workplace and in compliance with Allnex procedures and systems.
  • Operate the corporate CMMS (SAP) for planning and scheduling engineering works.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experienced and qualified fitter and turner / welder.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in chemical or similar industries process plant maintenance.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work in a small team.
  • Commitment to Safety, Occupational Health, Environment and Quality principles and practices.
  • Experience with compressors and pneumatics is desirable.
  • Pump maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Confined space entry certificate is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a multitude of tasks.
  • Ability to quickly assess problems and able to process workable solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
