About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Operational Risk Team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing operational support across group-wide reporting, data quality management, and monitoring.

As a Senior Analyst, you will act as a strategic partner to the Operational Risk team, aligning reporting and analytic offerings with their strategic and operational needs. You will analyze and understand business changes and framework developments, assessing their implications on Operational Risk and reporting.

You will collaborate with the broader team to explore how data, analytics, automation, and AI can enhance Operational Risk capabilities. You will lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies or developing new insights.

In addition, you will work closely with stakeholders to translate their needs into technical requirements, assist in the preparation and review of management reports, and offer ongoing data and reporting support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support across group-wide reporting, data quality management, and monitoring
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Operational Risk team, aligning reporting and analytic offerings with their strategic and operational needs
  • Analyze and understand business changes and framework developments, assessing their implications on Operational Risk and reporting
  • Collaborate with the broader team to explore how data, analytics, automation, and AI can enhance Operational Risk capabilities
  • Lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies or developing new insights
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate their needs into technical requirements

Requirements
  • Prior experience in Operational Risk, Management Consulting, or similar within the Financial Services Industry
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders across data, risk, and the business
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel and SQL
  • Prior experience with risk management systems will be highly regarded
