Registered Nurse

Swinburne University of Technology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to the provision of high-quality clinical care for students. As a critical member of the clinical team, you will practice autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Key Accountabilities- Provide high-level clinical support in emergency and clinical care, including emergency first aid and procedures, and drug administration.
- Establish and run nurse-led clinics, such as sexual health clinics and immunisation clinics.
- Lead on a portfolio within the practice, including infection prevention and control.
- Assist with procedures and wound management, including spirometry, ear micro suctioning, and iron infusions.
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster therapeutic relationships and promote patient engagement and empowerment.
- Work collaboratively within the Swinburne Health Service multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse Div. 1.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse in a GP clinic.
- Accredited Nurse Immunizer.
- Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Cervical screening provider.
- Ear Wax Removal Certificate, including microsuction.
- Infection Control training.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certificate.
